The Council’s Ruling — Aliens

This and every Monday, the Bweinh!tributors, having convened in secret for hours of reasoned debate and consideration, will issue a brief and binding ruling on an issue of great societal import.

This week’s question — Is there intelligent life elsewhere?

The council could not reach a majority ruling on this issue, although it does give a qualified ‘Quite probably.’

Steve offers this opinion, joined by MC-B and Mike:

Although it’s impossible to give an answer one way or the other, the massive size of the universe would surely seem wasteful if it was only ours.

Djere dissents, joined by Tom and MC-B:

Being unconvinced that intelligent life exists on this planet, I believe it’s the ultimate act of hubris to believe we’re the only intelligent life in this enormous universe God has created.

Connie dissents:

Yes, I just don’t believe God have chosen to reveal it to us yet. For example I believe that heaven could be on another planet. And hell as well. Guess which one?

Josh dissents, joined by Chloe:

No, the conditions under which we exist are remarkably precise.

David dissents:

No, it barely hangs on here.

Next week: who is the most influential person (non-divine) of all time?
