I took this rather difficult civics quiz that’s in the news today, and got 56 out of 60 correct (93.3%).
Can you beat me? Take a stab!
I’m pretty sure Bweinh!keteers would beat the average of 54% reported for all college grads…

49 out of 60, 81%.
I’m ashamed to say I got 45, but I have some beef with the question about the government’s biggest payout over the last 20 years. It said Social Security was the correct answer. Maybe I don’t understand exactly what “pay out” means. Does it mean money that the government gives out? Or money that it spends, period?
I got that one wrong too. I wonder if the answer would be the same regardless of the way you interpret it.
I also missed questions about the impact of the Federal Reserve buying bonds, when women got the vote, and (the only one I regret missing) the main idea of Plato’s republic.
Well, don’t we spend nearly 50% of our national budget on the military? I know they spend a lot of money training me and giving me a whole lot of stuff.
48/60, 80%…it was a tough quiz!
50 out of 60, 83.3%.
55 out of 60, 91.67%
51/60* 85%*
*- I took the 5 question version yesterday in the USA TODAY and so had the chance to correct 2 wrong answers. Adjusted for that it would be 49/60. I hate economics. That’s probably where all my wrong answers came from.
Worst of the responders: 70%.
The Plato question I got wrong too. It wasn’t worded correctly. I was unsure if it Plato who was acknowledging the “desirability of democracy” and as to why most people look on it as the best form of government, such a theory he ultimately debunks in The Republic OR if it was indeed the form of government Plato most desired which would be Philosopher kings. I chose poorly.
And even though I got the economics questions right, I too hate economics.
56/60. I missed the final question as well.
77% congrats to Mike and Steve. That was tough
You answered 56 out of 60 correctly — 93.33 %
65/60 this time 122%. But then I had a 5.0 in college.
