Always, always, ALWAYS the most ridiculous one.

So do these folks actually believe the Vatican invented Islam?

  3. Steve on September 25th, 2007 11:45 am

I don’t know how many people agree, but I can tell you with confidence that Jack Chick believes it.

Yet another devious scheme of the papists comes to light. Wait until the true story comes out regarding Princess Di.

You gotta watch out for the Pope and his Swiss Guard henchmen, they’re very sneaky.

Is a requirement of joining the Swiss Guard growing a menacing mustache? Because that would be awesome…

I am deeply mortified and hurt by the inclusion of this Chick Track!

(I am hurt because I spilled hot coffee on my slacks in a fit of laughter. I am mortified because I’m not sure that the stain will lift… and I really liked the aforementioned slacks.)

We didn’t create Islam to steal the souls of Ishmael’s sons…. we created it because we got bored one night and reruns of Everyone Loves Raymond just weren’t doin’ it for us.

Marcus! Good to see you again!

Wouldn’t it have been more efficient (and safer) to just subject the Arabs to Ray Romano directly??

Try ABSOLVE marcus…or maybe it’s RESOLVE that removes stains…good to hear from you again.

Yeah, it has been a while (but don’t feel too bad… I’ve not even updated ‘Omnology in months).

I like this Jack Chick thing. It proves the old adage that one man’s religious invective is another man’s comedic gold.

I’m cooking up a post about a Pomo articulation of the self and it’s religious implications (though I’m not sure when it’ll be ready). This is not to say that I am (willingly) postmodern (not by a long shot). But with the social sciences being what they are, my understanding of personal agency ends up looking a bit like that of certain pomo sapiens. More to follow…. eventually.

…and for the record: the “absolve” pun was not wasted on me. In my book, absolution can handle a great many stains. ;o)
