“Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.”

This sentence is sensible and grammatically correct. Can you explain how (without cheating)?

Does cheating include having already heard of this before?

No; go for it; no one else will.

I’ve heard it before too, but I couldn’t remember what “buffalo” meant as a verb without looking it up.
